As many of you may be aware, the ISRID website committee has been working diligently to update the ISRID website and make it a great resource for interpreters. 

I am writing to let you know of a new feature we are incorporating into the ISRID website and also to ask for your assistance in making this feature a success. We are adding a section to the website labeled "ISRID E-News." Our goal is that it will be something that will benefit interpreters across the state of Iowa.

This new section of the website is for members and will include member/board articles, regional events/news, and other information relevant to the ISRID membership.  This is where I would like your help. Instead of one person attempting to gather information, articles, and things that would be of interest to interpreters from all parts of the state, would you be willing to be a part of the "grassroots" team in collecting information for the "ISRID E-News?"

All that this assistance would entail is keeping an eye out for articles that would be of interest to the interpreting community in Iowa, letting us know of events/field-related activities that will take place, and articles you may be inclined to write.  Upon finding an interesting story, event, article, link, or etc. you can email me at this email address (isridnews@gmail.com).

Please feel free to forward this information on to any interpreter who you think may be interested in helping out in this area.
